As the college basketball season starts the push towards March, PJ Haggerty has turned a lot of heads nationally and now sits on the midseason watch list for two different awards.

He made the final 10 for the Jerry West Award, which is given to the best shooting guard in the country by The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Haggerty also is on the final 50 for the Oscar Robertson Trophy, which is given to the most outstanding player in the country regardless of position by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

He has certainly earned these distinctions; he is averaging an efficient 21.6 points per game, which is fourth in the country. He has also led the Tigers to a No. 17 spot in the most recent AP Poll and are on pace to earn a top five seed in the NCAA Tournament.

While players play their way on or off these lists at any moment, Haggerty has been one of the most consistent scorers in the country, so it is unlikely he will fall from these anytime soon.
