The University of Memphis football team takes on Charlotte Saturday, October 26 at 11:00AM. The Tigers are coming off a very high scoring back and forth win against North Texas, a game in which the Tigers showed that they have an offense that can score with the best of them. The Tigers were able to score their highest amount of points this season against North Texas as well.
What Are the Tigers Bringing to This Game Against the 49ers?
The Tigers have proven to have a pretty good defensive unit, but they can sometimes also be up and down, hence the game against North Texas allowing them to score 44 points.
The Tigers offense however was clicking on all cylinders, and against Charlotte they should come in with a bunch of confidence. Memphis running back, Mario Anderson Jr. had an outstanding performance last week and he is also going to be a key piece for Memphis to win Saturday.
DeMeer Blankumsee and Seth Henigan also did well last week. Seth knows how to get the Tigers offense going with his passing ability as we have seen in multiple games this season.
What Are the 49ers Bringing to the Contest?
Charlotte comes in to Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium with a 3-4 record. It has been quite of a rough year for Charlotte with a losing record currently, but, just like all opponents, Memphis should not take them lightly. Charlotte is battle-tested this season playing teams like North Carolina, #13 Indiana, and #24 Navy. Charlotte averages 23.0 points per game, so of course Memphis must make sure that their defense is ready.
Prediction
Memphis is by far a better team than Charlotte defensively and offensively. Memphis is more loaded with talent and Charlotte’s quarterback Max Brown has not shown well this season. Memphis should pull this game out, but they must come prepared because as previously stated Charlotte has played some pretty steep competition so far. Predicted Final Score: Memphis 24 Charlotte 10
