Memphis basketball has reportedly added another player for the 2024-25 season in junior college big man Bouna Kebe.

Kebe’s name, image and likeness representative, Yuval Shaham, announced that the 6’9 big man had committed to the University of Memphis Wednesday morning on X.

Last season at Gillette College, Kebe averaged 11.2 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in just over 16 minutes per contest.

Bouna Kebe, a native of Senegal, came to the United State to play high school basketball.

His stint at Gillette was his second JUCO stop, as he spent the 2022-23 season at Independence Community College.

Kebe figures to slot in behind lone returner Nick Jourdain, Illinois transfer Dain Dainja, Ole Miss transfer Moussa Cisse, and SMU transfer Tyreek Smith in the frontcourt for the Tigers and has two more years of eligibilty.

The addition of Kebe adds a depth piece to Penny Hardaway’s roster, as even with this add, Hardaway and company still have open scholarships to work with.

With less than two months to go before the season opener, a Nov. 4 matchup with Missouri, the Tigers have several new faces, coaches and Kebe, to get up to speed.
