There are numerous quality American restaurants in Midtown like Belly Acres, Babalu and Porch and Parlor. However, if you are craving something other than hamburgers, barbecue or steak, there are many more options to choose from. Asian food is a cuisine that might be hard to navigate. Here's a list of five Asian restaurants to help you get started!
The Crazy Noodle
While Crazy Noodle has many ramen selections, there are other noodle dishes to choose from. Tommie Watson, a server at the Crazy Noodle, praised the restaurant’s “entirely authentic” menu and noted that people who move out of Memphis continuously return for Korean food because they are the only Korean restaurant in Overton Square. Craving something spicy? Bi Bim Naeng Myun is a cold buckwheat noodle dish with beef, kimchi, shiitake mushrooms, onions, bean sprouts, carrots, cucumber, zucchini, boiled egg, and topped with a spicy Korean sauce for $12.99. Mix it all up to taste the crunchy textures and savory flavor.

Vietnam Restaurant
Ann Le, an employee at Vietnam Restaurant, says that while the owners have changed, the restaurant itself has been in the same location for about 20 years. She says she hopes that Memphians recognize all of Vietnam's noodles and rice dishes. A hearty noodle soup can make you feel refreshed anytime, and a bowl of bánh canh can have the same effect. Bánh canh includes pork with thick, chewy noodles made from both tapioca flour and rice flour. The dish also contains imitation crab, pork trotters and pork ribs. For a finishing touch, the bursting bowl is then topped off with cilantro and scallions.
