1. Campus domestic assault
Officers S. Grisham and A. Daniels responded to an assault at 3615 Central Ave. Oct. 7.
The victim said she got into a physical altercation with her boyfriend. The suspect choked the victim and smashed her phone before fleeing the scene.
The case is currently under investigation.
2. Wallet stolen from psychology building
Officers responded to a theft at 3693 Norriswood Oct. 8, according to a crime report filed by Officer A. Daniels.
The victim left a brown Michael Kors wallet behind after using the bathroom. When she returned for the wallet, it was gone.
The victim noted a coffee had been spilled in the bathroom after she left. The wallet held a driver’s license, $235 and a set of car keys.
The case has been marked closed due to insufficient evidence.
3. Artwork stolen from display
Officers responded to a walk-in theft report Oct. 15, according to a crime report filed by Officer Vickers.
The victim received an email from a faculty member that her artwork had been removed from its display on the third floor of Ball Hall.
No one contacted the victim regarding the stolen art, but she said it was stolen.
4. Campus car theft
Officers responded to a theft at 570 Houston St. Oct. 1, according to a crime report filed by Officer Davidson.
The victim said he parked his car on the fourth floor of the South garage at 12:30 p.m. The victim received a call from a friend telling him the car had been ransacked.
Officers found that the contents of the glove compartment had been scattered about the vehicle. The victim reported a pair of tennis shoes was missing from the vehicle.
5. Vandalism at Innovation Garage
Officers responded to the vandalism of a vehicle at 350 Innovation Drive Oct. 10, according to a crime report filed by Officer J. Hudgens.
The victim said she parked her car in the garage for two hours. The next day the victim noticed suspects had tried to pry the car door open. There were pry marks visible on the back door.
The suspects were unable to gain entry, and nothing was taken from the car.
6. Multiple car break-ins on Southern Ave.
Officers responded to a theft at 3700 Southern Ave. Oct. 15, according to a report by Officer K. Means.
The complainant said, while walking through the south lot, she noticed multiple vehicles with busted windows.
Officers contacted the owners of the vehicles. Two victims reported items missing from their cars.
Officers dusted the scene for prints but did not find any. Three gift cards and $.53 were recovered from the scene and placed in the UofM evidence locker.
7. Campus theft from classroom
Officers responded to a theft at 3774 Walker St. Oct. 16, according to a crime report filed by Officer T. Smith.
The victim told Officer Smith she left the chemistry building after she finished classes at 5 p.m. During her drive home, the victim discovered she left her purse behind.
The victim emailed her instructor and met him in the classroom to retrieve the purse, but it had already been taken from the room.
The case has been closed due to insufficient evidence.
8. Campus vending machine theft
Officers responded to a theft at 3700 Central Ave. Oct. 11, according to a crime report filed by Officer Grisham.
The complainant said her employer’s vending machine at the Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management had been broken into.
The complainant told officers the suspect had attempted to break into two other machines between Aug. 11 and Sept. 11.
The case has been closed due to insufficient evidence.
9. Theft at South Hall
Officers responded to a theft at 594 Goodman St. Oct. 11.
The victim told police that he suspected his guest of stealing his wallet.
The case is under investigation.
