Helmsman Editor-in-Chief Nick Lingerfelt spoke to a group of elementary school students at Christ Methodist Day School, a private school, who are taking an elective course called “Digital Newspaper.” Jane Donahoe, the school’s director of communications and who is also a former Helmsman reporter, teaches the class. Lingerfelt, an alumnus of CMDS, shared his experiences working at the campus paper and while in college.
