Talented Tigers’ help wanted

Anyone with an amazing talent who needs to be showcased, the University of Memphis’ “Tigers Got Talent” is just for you.

The Student Activities Council is hosting the event Wednesday in the University Center Theater and March 28 in the UC Ballroom. The events, which will be hosted 6-9 p.m., are free to participants and the audience.

“Anybody who has any sort of talent, like riding a unicycle, juggling or ventriloquism — anything to entertain the audience — I really hope they come out and participate,” Tigers Got Talent event coordinator Ashton Toone said. “This event is really going to be driven by audience participation, and this is essentially a live audition exactly like ‘America’s Got Talent,’’ so we are pushing to shift this from your typical open mic night.”

The top five winners of the talent show will perform in the Local Day event on April 19, where SAC will host food vendors and booths on the University Center lawn.
