Once construction begins on the new campus recreation center, 1000 parking spots will be lost, Angela Floyd, director of parking services, said in an email to The Daily Helmsman. Although construction over the summer added 722 new spaces, some students are still worried about what the loss of almost 300 spaces will bring when it is already difficult to find somewhere to park with the amount of spaces currently.
