The Nine Apartment Complex brings new feel to Memphis

The Nine at Memphis is an apartment complex being built in the University area by Spaces Management. It will stand on the southwest corner of Mynders Avenue and Brister Street.

Luxury amenities such as a pool, a workout facility, a Starbucks coffee bar and a Mac computer lounge will be available at another student-living apartment complex come August 2017.

The University of Memphis neighborhood will soon be home to The Nine at Memphis, which will stand on the southwest corner of Mynders Avenue and Brister Street. The new student-living apartment complex will join the existing student housing complexes The Stratum on Highland and Gather on Southern.

The Nine at Memphis will have 114 units and 385 total beds. Its floor plans range from two to four bedroom units. Each bedroom in the new complex will have its own bathroom.

Andy Turner is president of Spaces Management, the group that manages the Nine at Memphis. He said the “explosion of growth†in Memphis’s university district is what brought Spaces Management to build student housing near the University of Memphis.

“Memphis is falling into place,†Turner said. “And I think the University of Memphis neighborhood is heading in the direction of a college-town feel.â€

Rent will range from $650 to $800 per bedroom, depending on the number of bedrooms per unit. Unit furnishings include a 50-inch HDTV, granite kitchen and bathroom counter tops and stainless steel kitchen appliances.

The Nine at Memphis will offer plenty of community entertainment services. Residents will be able to enjoy a multi-media entertainment center and clubhouse gaming area, as well as outdoor grilling stations and poolside lounge areas. Residents will have access to Wi-Fi in every unit and common area.

Turner said The Nine at Memphis is going to be a part of this “college-town revolution†by providing a luxury apartment complex with amenities and comforts that are completely geared towards U of M students.

The Nine at Memphis will hold an event Nov. 1 at their leasing office on South Highland Street. Students will be able to sign individual leases.
