On the third Thursday of each quarter (January, April, July and October), “Get to Know Your Customers Day” is observed by those who long for a time before the Internet and big box stores, when locally owned businesses knew more of their customers by name. However, even in 2016, many workers at the University of Memphis know their customers by name and enjoy their regular interactions.
