Douglas Brinkley, a CNN presidential historian and a contributing editor at Vanity Fair and Audubon, spoke at the University of Memphis Tuesday, Mar. 1, for the fifth annual first amendment lecture series. As the results of the presidential primary elections were being announced, Brinkley spoke about presidents and their role in the media in the past and the present.
