An 18-year-old student was found in the lobby of the new Centennial Place dorms with bloodshot eyes and slurred speech on Jan. 17, according to a University of Memphis Campus Police Services report written by Officer Angie Brown.
The student said she “had several vodka drinks and other mixed drinks during the night,” the campus police report said.
Campus police sent the student to detox. She was later arrested on Jan .19.
The intoxication was reported at 2:15 a.m. by is one of the dorm’s resident advisors.
