The University of Memphis basketball team released the schedule for the 2015-2016 season.
Instead of the usual exhibition against Christian Brothers University, the season will start with an exhibition against Lemoyne-Owen Nov. 6 at the FedExForum.
The Tigers have two games televised on ESPN this season. They will face off with an Oklahoma Nov. 17 squad expected to be ranked in the preseason top ten this pre-season in the third game of the season. Memphis will also play Ohio State Nov. 27 as part of the Hoophall Miami Invitational.
Josh Pastner’s squad will tip off against mid-major power Louisiana Tech on Dec. 1. The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
Ole Miss will come to the FedExForum for the first time since the 2006-2007 season and it will be the first time the two have played since the Tigers’ loss in the 2010 NIT.
American Athletic Conference play starts Dec. 29 in the FedExForum against Tulane. The 18-game conference stretch includes a two-game break where the Blue and Gray play South Carolina Jan. 2 and Nicholls St. Jan 5.
Conference play is highlighted by a six game stretch from January 21 to February 6 when the Tigers play at Cincinnati, East Carolina, at UCF, at SMU, UConn and Cincinnati.
The Tigers’ season will conclude on the road against East Carolina Mar. 6. The AAC Conference Championship will be held on March 10-13 in Orlando.
