University Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. yesterday in Carpenter Complex.
The victim, who was not injured in the incident, reported that two males were in her residence and demanded personal items. One of the suspects was armed with a silver automatic handgun. He is described as black man approximately 5 foot 7 inches tall in his 20s with a thin build.
The other suspect is described as a 5 foot 6 inch tall black man between 19 and 20 years old with a light complexion, thin build, and short, dark curly hair. He was wearing a pullover short sleeve shirt with black and white horizontal stripes.
The suspects fled in an unknown direction; there was no vehicle in the area.
Officers are focusing patrols around Carpenter Complex along with the other residential areas. The Memphis Police are assisting in the investigation. n
