Carney's three lifts Sixers

COLOGNE, Germany - The Philadelphia 76ers rallied from a 22-point deficit in the third quarter Tuesday to beat the Phoenix Suns 103-100, advancing to the final game of a four-team exhibition mini-tournament in Europe.

Rick Brunson, who did not play in the first three quarters, made a decisive assist, grabbed a rebound and hit one of two free throws to secure the victory for the 76ers, who improved to 1-1 in preseason play after falling 104-99 to Winterthur FC Barcelona last week.

With the Suns up 100-99, Brunson passed the ball to Rodney Carney, who made a 3-pointer with 10.5 seconds left. Leandro Barbosa then missed a 3-point attempt for the Suns, Brunson grabbed the rebound, drew a foul and made one of the two free throws with .7 seconds left.

On the final possession, Raja Bell passed to Barbosa but his off-balance shot missed the target.

Allen Iverson and Chris Weber sat out the fourth quarter, when Kyle Korver had eight points for the 76ers. Iverson finished with 29 points and Weber had 17, while Korver finished with 20. Andre Igoudala had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Shawn Marion led the Suns with 25, Barbosa had 20, Steve Nash had 15 points and 9 assists, while Boris Diaw added 10 points and 12 rebounds.

The Suns dropped to 1-1 in preseason play.

On Wednesday, the 76ers play CSKA Moscow, which defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 90-81 earlier in the day. The Suns will play Tel Aviv for third place in the four-team tournament.
