If you've always thought you could do better than any of the cast of NBC's "The Apprentice," then this Saturday is your lucky day.
The Fogelman College of Business and Economics will be holding open casting calls for the hit TV show in rooms 121 and 123 of the building.
"It's going to be a lot of fun," said Gregory Boller, the MBA program director of the FCBE. "We have some really crackerjack, really smart MBA students and alumni that are going to come out."
Wristbands will be distributed at 9 a.m., and interviews begin at 10. Only those with wristbands will be interviewed.
Applicants should arrive in business professional attire with a completed application, prepared to do more than just be interviewed.
"It's more than just a casting call. There will be a lot of interesting activities, like role-playing and debates," Boller said.
Applicants that have already sent in a video application are not required to attend the call, and no one may arrive before 6 a.m.
Those interested can download an application at www.nbc.com.
"It's a dominating commitment, to be a part of this show. It's an intense show, and there's intense competition," Boller said.
April Beavers, a junior biology major, likes her chances.
"'The Apprentice' is my favorite show," said April Beavers, a junior biology major. "It's exciting to know, if anybody, I know will make it."
Applicants can expect callbacks Sunday and Monday.
"The Apprentice" is in its fifth season and airs Monday nights at 8. The winner will get a job with The Trump Organization and a large six-figure salary.
This season, candidates range from elite universities like Harvard, Cornell and Columbia. Passed participants have gone on to conquer the business world, with Bill Rancic continuing his contract with The Trump Organization, and Jessie Conners heading two major companies. Most famously, former contestant Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth is still heading two businesses and working on national political fundraisers.
For some, the NBC hit resonates with viewers who love Trump's trademark style.
"I love 'The Apprentice,' especially The Donald," said Katie Bell, a junior biology major. "I love watching people get fired."
