Tropical Smoothie Cafe, located just 15 minutes from U of M, offers students friendly service, healthy low priced food, and best of all free wireless Internet.
"Everything here is made with the freshest ingredients," said owner Chris Koches.
Customers can chose from more than 30 different smoothies, all of which are made from real fruit. Vitamin supplements such as vitamin C IMMUNE-Complex and echinacca can be added by request. The Cranberry Cove, a blend of cranberry, banana and strawberry is both nutritious and delicious.
Smoothies aren't the only items on the menu. There are 13 gourmet wraps, Tortizzas (their version of lite pizza) and specialty sandwiches made with Boar's Head meats and cheese. The Buffalo chicken wrap is a must try!

Mo's Memphis Originals Music and Art Cafe
Laid back, trendy and fun are just a few words that describe Mo's Music and Art Cafe. Located just a few steps from the Tiger Bookstore, Mo's is a haven for up and coming musicians and artists.
"We offer another choice for entertainment," said owner Anita Black. "The music and art cafe is for the extended family. Students, young adults and baby boomers can come in and enjoy."
Almost every evening there is live entertainment at Mo's. There is even an open mic night on Mondays at 7:30. Aside from housing and selling the music and artwork of local talent, Mo's offers affordable breakfast and lunch selections. "Everything is made to order from scratch," said Black. However, there are no fried foods and no alcohol available. The cafe is also a no smoking environment.
Moe's is open Monday â€" Saturday from 9 a.m. "until the music stops".
