Wednesday, Nov. 16

1:05 p.m.

Police responded to a theft call at Patterson Hall. Lavonnie Claybon told police that someone stole her laptop computer from her office sometime between Oct. 31 and Nov. 16. Estimated loss was $3,643.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

2:45 p.m.

Melanie Rudd reported to police that someone stole several items of her clothing from the Richardson Towers laundry room between 10 p.m. on Nov. 13 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 14. Estimated loss was $340.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

Police responded to a theft call from the McWherter Library. Jumaane Parnell told police that he arrived at the McWherter Library to study at 7 p.m. in a fourth floor study room. After leaving the study room for an hour, Parnell returned to find that his laptop had been stolen. Estimated loss was $450.

Thursday, Nov. 17

2:40 p.m.

Angiline Powell reported to police that sometime between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Nov. 14, someone stole one Samsung SC-D351 camcorder from Ball Hall.

7:25 p.m.

Police responded to a marijuana complaint in the Carpenter Complex. Police detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the apartment and discovered a small bag of a green, leafy substance and other drug paraphernalia.

Friday, Nov. 18

12:51 p.m.

Rajasekaran Venkatachalam reported to police that his book bag and laptop computer were stolen from the psychology building after he left his bag in a class room for a few minutes. Estimated loss was $1,115.

Friday, Nov. 18

1:16 p.m.

Police responded to a theft call from the Zach Curlin parking lot. Richard McGoldrick told police that someone broke into his vehicle and stole his CD player while his car was parked in the Zach Curlin parking lot. Estimated loss was $150.

Monday, Nov. 21

7:50 a.m.

Gary Turner reported to police that someone broke the passenger door lock trying to gain entry into his Ford F-150 pickup while it was parked in the Zach Curlin parking lot. Estimated loss was $100.

Monday, Nov. 21

3:10 p.m.

James Singleton reported to police that he parked his vehicle in the parking lot beside the McWherter Library at 8 a.m. on Nov. 21. When he returned at 3 p.m., someone had scratched the quarter panel, back door and the front door of his vehicle. Estimated loss was $500.

Monday, Nov. 21

7:20 p.m.

Police responded to a vandalism call at the Conlee parking lot. Jessica Phillips told police that she parked her vehicle in The U of M Conlee lot at 10:30 a.m. When she returned at 4:15 p.m., she noticed that the right front passenger door handle had been pried away from the door. Estimated loss was $350.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

12:04 a.m.

Shameka Ross reported to police that on Nov. 19 between 8:15 p.m. and 8:35 p.m., she lost her cell phone in the lobby of Richardson Towers. Estimated loss was $25.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

10:10 p.m.

Caroline Averitt reported to police that while she was in the Smith chemistry building, she lost her wallet. Estimated loss was $20.
