Tuesday, April 5

9:40 p.m.

Police responded to a theft call made from the music building. Jennifer Herrera, who made the call, told police that someone had taken two credit cards and $10 worth of cash from her purse. She said the incident took place when she left a practice room once and for just a short time. When she left, she did not lock the room.

Wednesday, April 6

Midnight

Kristan Journigan told police she had been assaulted by Yentle Ellis. The assault took place on the south side of Richardson Towers. The case is pending.

Sunday, April 10

1:07 p.m.

Police responded to a simple assault call at the Smith Building. Danielle Taylor told police Kristen Davis had assaulted her while they were in the Smith Chemistry computer lab. Neither party had injuries.

Sunday, April 10

1:05 p.m.

Brenda Fleming called police after she noticed her gold Bulova watch was missing. She had kept the watch in a jewelry box on the top of her dresser in her room at the Carpenter Complex. The watch was worth approximately $198.

Tuesday, April 12

9:00 a.m.

Kathy Walker, an employee of The U of M, called police because she found her license plate had been stolen from her car. It was taken while her car, a 2003 silver Ford Taurus, was parked in the South Lot. The Tennessee tag, which expires in June of this year, will cost her $75 to replace.

Tuesday, April 12

7:20 p.m.

Tamara Dickson had her car, which was stolen from the South Lot, returned to her after she called The University Police. The campus police contacted the Memphis Police Department for a broadcast of the stolen vehicle. After a short time, the MPD contacted police services and told them they had found the car.

Tuesday, April 12

1:15 p.m.

Russell Streif contacted police because he believed his bankcard had been stolen. He realized it was missing when he went to a Bank of America to take out some money, but his card was not in his wallet.

Wednesday, April 13

10:53 a.m.

Police responded to a call from Daniel Dearmas, who told police that his car had been stolen. He had parked the car, a 1998 white Ford Explorer, next to the baseball fields on the South Campus. Police have been unable to find the car. The car was worth approximately $29,000.

Thursday, April 14

11:40 a.m.

Rebekah McFall called police after she found her wallet was missing from her backpack, which was at Memorial Field. She was with a group of people who were at the field to exercise, and everyone else left their property in the same place as McFall. Her loss totaled $90.
