U of M students eligible for student discount on game days

U of M students won't get into the Kelly Tires Conference USA Tournament for free, but they can expect a substantial discount.

Students will pay $15 for sessions 1-4 and $25 for sessions 5-6. According to C-USA representative Courtney Archer, there's no set number of student tickets, but she advises student to purchase them early to get the best seats.

Those who receive the student discount will get seats in the upper level. All lower level seats will be sold at regular price.

"We're offering those for students just because we appreciate them," said C-USA representative Courtney Archer. "We recognize what they mean to the tournament."

To receive the discount, U of M students must purchase tickets through the FedExForum box office the day of the session they wish to attend.

Any faculty looking to purchase discounted tickets will be disappointed. U of M staff will pay regular ticket prices.

Aside from student tickets, individual sessions cost $30, $45 and $60 for sessions 1-4. Prices jump to $40, $50 and $70 for the semifinals (session 5) and finals (session 6).

Interested parties can also buy an all session pass good for the entire tournament. All-session tickets cost $175, $250 and $350. There is no student discount for all-session tickets.

Regular-priced tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com or by calling (901) 525-1515. They can also be purchased through The University of Memphis ticket office or the FedExForum box office.

The tournament runs March 9-12.
