NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Dave Matthews Band, Alison Krauss & Union Station, The Allman Brothers Band and Widespread Panic are among the acts scheduled to perform at this year's Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.
Now in its fourth year, the three-day festival will be held June 10-12 in Manchester.
The festival will continue highlighting musical diversity, with singer/songwriter John Prine and banjo innovator Earl Scruggs sharing the bill with college-rock favorite Matthews, bluegrass vet Krauss, jam-band Widespread Panic, prog-metal buzz group The Mars Volta, Grammy-nominated indie-rockers Modest Mouse and hip-hop/soul singer Citizen Cope.
"I think from the beginning we envisioned Bonnaroo as a 'music festival,' so each year we really strive to put together a lineup that highlights a tremendous variety of music," said Ashley Capps, president of Bonnaroo promoter AC Entertainment.
The festival, with a maximum crowd set at 90,000, again will be on the 700-acre farm in Manchester that's been its home since the inaugural Bonnaroo in 2002.
Other confirmed Bonnaroo artists for 2005 are Joss Stone, Jack Johnson, Govt. Mule, Bela Fleck Acoustic Trio, Keller Williams, My Morning Jacket, STS9, Toots and the Maytals, Ozomatli, Iron & Wine, Rilo Kiley, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Donna The Buffalo, Drive-By Truckers, Joanna Newsom, Xavier Rudd, Ray La- Montagne, The Gourds, Ollabelle, Brazilian Girls, M.
