Upcoming internship opportunities

Up to 20 legislative internships are available to qualified University of Memphis applicants in the 2005 session of the Tennessee General Assembly.

These competitive internships offer at least 12 hours of credit in political science plus at least $325 per week. The internship is open to juniors, seniors or graduate students in any major who have at least a 3.0 GPA. No previous coursework in political science is required.

Interns will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will primarily do constituent work, computer and library research, bill analysis and other general office duties.

Donna Morgan, legislative intern program administrator, will hold an informational meeting Mon., Sept. 27 from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. in room 417 of Clement Hall.

Applications are available in the Department of Political Science in room 437 of Clement Hall. The application deadline is Oct. 15.
