Protecting your skin is important for the summer months, andkeeping it protected throughout the day is essential.
"If you use preventive techniques from the time you are young, you won't see the first signs of aging until you late 50s," saidKelly Chaposky, a skin care specialists.
According to skin specialist Amber Long, starting young withusing sunscreen is important to the health of your skin.
"Most of your sun damage is done as a child," Long said.
If you are outside a lot, you are going to need at least a SPF(Sun Protection Factor) of 30 to adequately protect the skin onyour face and 15 to protect your body, said Chaposky.
"Antioxidants are good," said Chaposky.
Antioxidants guard the skin against pollution, smoke and otherharmful free radicals in the environment. They can be found incertain face and body moisturizers, as well as foods and vitaminsupplements, such as Vitamins C, E and beta-carotene.
