I have been a Tiger basketball fan since before I can imagine. Ihave experienced many happy moments and some sad moments also. But(Thursday, March 11) I had a feeling I've never experienced beforeas a Tiger fan...ANGER!
I was so angry I couldn't think straight! Maybe I had somethingin common with the Tigers Thursday -- the inability to thinkstraight! Since neither the Tigers nor I could think straight, Ithink we need to ask a couple of questions:
What or who had Burks' attention the entire game? Did he forgethow to play defense?
When did Erwin and Lopez become offensive threats?
Why did Rice pass the ball when he had a lay-up opportunity butshot from near half court with a man standing inside his shoes?
Why did Coach Cal sit Carney down when he made two threes butkept him in the game when he missed three shots in a row? What wasCoach Cal's game plan other than cursing everyone out? Does theteam have any set plays?
I hope I haven't offended or embarrassed anyone by this letter,just as I know the Tigers hope that they haven't offended orembarrassed anyone by their game. However, if we have, please donot blame it on anything other than our recent inability tothink!
