Memphis point guard Antonio Burks is one of 16 finalists for theinaugural Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year Award.
The award, which is sponsored by the Naismith Basketball Hall ofFame, will go to the best true point guard in collegebasketball.
Burks is one of 10 Division I nominees.
The recipient of the award will be announced at a pressconference in San Antonio, coinciding with Final Four weekend.
Burks leads the Tigers in scoring, assists, steals and fieldgoal percentage. He sits near the top of Conference USA in manycategories as well.
Other finalists include Jameer Nelson of Saint Josephs, ChristThomas of Notre Dame and Chris Hernandez of Stanford.
