You don't have to wait until Oscar night to see gleaming lights,gorgeous models and red carpet -- the Black Student Association's8th Annual Fall Fashion Show has it all.
These are a few things you will see if you attend the show atthe University Center tonight at 7:30.
According to the BSA, the hottest and latest fashions fromseveral sponsors like Dillard's, Ashley Stewarts, The Remix,Emechette International and Intimate Pleasures, will be there.
Fashions displayed will reflect hip-hop and urban influences.Also formal wear down and swimwear will be showcased.
The fashion show models are U of M students including some BSAmembers.
This event is produced by BSA special events co-chair, ChinelloEze.
"We will be showcasing the hottest fashions from up and comingurban designers and retailers," Eze said. "(We'll have) a New Yorkstyle runway."
The show will also include a partnership and collaborations withvarious organizations on campus.
Assorted urban designers and retailers along with liveentertainment from various artists like Strict 9 recording artist,Poizon, Scott Lynn and BSA's Ebin Dance Team will provide theclothes.
Eze said that there would be model agencies from the Memphisarea that will be there to look at the fashion show and models.
"We are trying to get outside of The U of M for a industrynetwork opportunity," Eze said. "That is why we are having otherdesigners with their own clothing line and surrounding modelingagencies."
For those, who will be able to go to the fashion show will havean opportunity to see if on Channel 17, Memphis television showcalled In Style.
BSA secretary, Crystal Neal said students should visit the shownot only to get fashion tips, but also to have fun.
"We want students to attend the fashion show because they willget a chance to watch other students display their talents throughmodeling," Neal said. "And if they like what they see and want tobe a part of BSA next year, this will be a start for them ."
And for those you attend the fashion will be able to win doorprize.
Tickets are available at the Office of Minority Affairs for $7in advance and $10 at the door.
