| The University of Memphis Bachelor ofFine Arts Exhibition will hold its opening reception Friday from6-8 p.m. The show can be seen by appoinment.
The work of Tommy Foster, Rodney Harrison, Julie Oattis, NicolePoetz, Sallie Sabbatini, Stephanie Sobierski, Vanessa Waites, MarkWilliams and Keeya Woods will be displayed. Painter Vanessa Waitessaid her series is about being a part of the latchkeygeneration. "We took care of ourselves, and in some ways, we are still takingcare of our parents," Waites said. Her work features little girlsin front of adult wallpaper, all from family photographs. |
