I would like to express my concolences to the family and friendsof Harriet Alexander who recently passed away.
Harriet had over 25 years of service with The University ofMephis in our library system.
Returning to school after a hiatus of two decades, I foundmyself without the necessary tools to fulfill my goals. Harriettook me under her wing and provided me with the knowledge I was sosadly lacking.
Later, after her tutelege began to take hold, we didn't talk asmuch, but she always found time to stop and spend a few minuteswith me.
I will never forget Harriet's kindndess, patience and gentlemanner.
