U of M grad says law school brings great opportunity

I wanted to pass along my thanks and inform other students of agreat opportunity they have at The University of Memphis.

I am a proud graduate of this institution, with a degree inCriminology and Criminal Justice, and am now entering my last sevenmonths of law school at Mississippi College in Jackson, Miss.

I wanted to express my thanks to the Criminal JusticeDepartment, including the Department Chair Richard Janikowski, forproviding me the tools to exceed at a private law school competingwith graduates from Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Rhodes, Tulane,Tennessee, Millsaps, Florida and one brilliant guy fromAnnapolis.

The CJ & C Department forces you to learn, to thinkcritically, and analyze issues with both common sense andscholastic thinking concerning constitutional, criminal andsocietal issues.

I have benefited greatly from my degree in Criminal Justice.

I would encourage any student who is thinking about attendinglaw school to seek out a major like Criminal Justice andCriminology that will give them an advantage in the cutthroat, competitive world that is law school.
