Great article on the new patriotism in civic service careers(4-3-03, page 2)! UM has both undergraduate and graduate programsin nonprofit studies and public administration. In line withnational trends, we have seen similar rises in enrollment andstudent interest in these degree programs. As mentioned in thearticle, our students are attracted to careers in public servicebecause they believe they will be able to make a difference.
