A ridiculous notion was made in Wednesday's paper (April 9)asserting that The Daily Helmsman has a conservative slant.
This is simply not true.
In fact, the usual Helmsman article leans heavily left, catchingus by surprise when a conservative group, like the CollegeRepublicans, gets coverage.
Maybe our friend in Wednesday's paper hasn't picked up a paperin several weeks, or maybe he's just content with a handful ofideas expressed on campus.
I'm appreciative that the College Republicans are makingconservative viewpoints available to students. It's a welcomedchange from the normal liberal reporting.
