Lady Tigers get new assistant

Lady Tigers’ basketball head coach Joye Lee-McNelis Tuesday announced the hiring of assistant coach Jennifer Hoover.

Hoover will take over the position left vacant by Ben Law, who resigned following the past season.

“We are very excited that Jennifer will be a part of our staff,” McNelis said. “She will bring added dimensions to our staff. She will add a new recruiting area to the program, and will make a difference in our post play as a former college and professional player.”

Hoover had been an assistant coach at James Madison for the last two years and helped JMU get to the WNIT Final Four last season.

Hoover, who played professionally in Sweden, is a graduate of Wake Forest University and is the all-time points and rebounds leader in Demon Deacon history.
