Ingram named assistant dean

The University of Memphis’ Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law has appointed Yolanda Wesley Ingram as the new assistant dean for Student Affairs.

Ingram, who is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and Washburn University School of Law, will also serve as the director of the Tennessee Pre-Law Fellowship Program. The program was created in 1986 to prepare African-American Tennessee residents for careers in law and for admission into state law schools.

“We’re very excited about having Dean Ingram join the law school staff, and we expect that she will do an outstanding job in working with students and directing our Tennessee Pre-Law Professional Program,” said Don Polden, dean of the law school.

Before coming to The University, Ingram worked as an associate in Kansas City, Mo., at the law firm of Polsinelli, White, Vardeman, and Shalton and was also employed as a law clerk for a state circuit court judge. Most recently, she was a representative for the West Group in Memphis.
