Two exhibits will be held at The University of Memphis Art Museum beginning Saturday.
Celebrating 20 years of art, “Twenty @ 20” will showcase works from artists featured during the museum’s 20-year history. The show will run through Sept. 7.
Also opening Saturday, Ron Koehler’s “Brushes” will showcase the Mississippi artist’s collection of over 1,000 paint brush objects of artists Koehler calls “heroes in my own development.” The show will run through July 27.
Opening receptions for both exhibits will be take place Friday from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
All Art Museum events are free and open to the public. Regular museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
