The 64th-ranked Tiger tennis team finished its regular season on a winning note this weekend, knocking off Louisiana-Monroe and Texas A & M-Corpus Christi to finish the season 18-6.
On Friday afternoon, Memphis defeated ULM, 6-1, and then duplicated that performance on Saturday evening by defeating Texas A & M-Corpus Christi, 6-1.
Tiger tennis coach Phil Chamberlain said he thought all his players hit the ball well this weekend.
The Tigers got the doubles point by sweeping ULM, 8-3, 9-7, 8-5.
In singles action, Memphis quickly set the tone by winning the first three matches.
During the Corpus-Christi match, Memphis produced an encore performance of its March 29th, 6-1 win over the Islanders.

The Tigers will be the fourth seed in this weekend’s Conference USA Tournament in Louisville, Ky. The Tigers will face the Louisville/East Carolina winner Friday.
Chamberlain said he expects to see Louisville in the quarterfinals on Friday at 2 p.m.
“We know Louisville is going to be tough,” Chamberlain said. “We are going to work extremely hard the next few days in preparation for the tournament.”
