A student living at Richardson Towers North called police services after the She reported that three other females threatened her and demanded money from her. The victim said she was sitting in her dorm room when three suspects knocked on her door. When she opened her door, the victim stepped outside and the suspect demanded $100. The victim said she did not have the money and an argument ensued. Fearing bodily harm from the three, the victim immediately stepped back into her room and called 911. The suspects had already left the scene upon the officer’s arrival.
Tuesday, February 12, 3:30 p.m.
A male student complained to officers that his ex-girlfriend began to harass him after their break-up last November. The victim said soon after the break-up the suspect started to call him and leave notes on his vehicle. The victim said the harassment had gotten to the point of making death threats and calling his residence and his job. The officer then advised the victim to contact Memphis Police regarding the harassment off-campus.
Thursday, February 14, 5:50 p.m.
A student reported to police that his ex-girlfriend began to harass him after breaking up their two-year relationship. Since early December, the student reported to police that the suspect had been calling and harassing the victim. He also informed the police that the suspect’s sorority sisters have been calling and harassing him as well. Also, the suspect has made threats to show up at the student’s dorm to “settle things.” The victim said that the suspect has continued to call him on several occasions but he declined to answer.
Thursday, February 14, 8 p.m.
Officers responded to a theft call from the Field House. The victim said he went to the Field House and left his items in a locker upon his return, his bookbag, wallet, cell phone and sweat suit were missing. The victim said he searched the area for his items but he could not find them. Total estimated losses are $160.
Friday, February 15, Noon
A female student filed a report to the police that her purse was stolen outside the Richardson Towers Express store. The victim said she set down her purse to open the door to the store. When she opened the door, she went to put items on the shelf. When she returned to the door to retrieve her purse, she discovered that it was gone. There was no suspect information available.
Friday, February 15, 4:30 p.m.
An officer responded to a theft from South Hall. The victim said he left his room at approximately 1 p.m. and return to his room around 3:45 p.m. When he returned, he noticed that his Dell computer monitor was missing. The victim said his room was not locked because his dorm door did not work properly. The victim also gave out the names of the two people who were using his computer when he left his room.
Monday, February 18, 2:50 p.m.
An officer responded to a theft call from Robison Hall. The victim said he placed $180 in his top drawer on Feb. 16. When he came back to retrieve the money, he noticed that his money was missing. The victim said he spoke with his roommate about the issue but the roommate said he had not seen any money and each time he left the room, he locked the door. There are no suspects at the time. Total estimated losses are $180.
