It was pathetic on Saturday to see the abysmal turnout of students at the football game against Army.
The football team is on the verge of doing something that it has not done since 1994. It is one game away from having a winning season and still the students don’t come to the games.
The only ones that seem to show up on a regular basis are the Greeks, and their appearances are erratic at best.
What is wrong with students at this school?
Our football team is one game away from having a winning team and becoming bowl-eligible. The stands should be packed with students this Saturday to support the Tiger football team against Cincinnati.
You can’t complain that it’s too expensive since students get in free. Every student should be at the games supporting their football team.
People are always complaining that they can’t get behind a losing team.
I know that it is hard supporting a team that just can’t seem to win, but why should they get any better if nobody supports them?
If the students want Memphis to have a decent football program to brag about, they need to get their butts in the stands.
If the students start going to the games, then maybe the public will become more supportive. More public support means more money for the program and that means better players.
This Saturday should see the stands packed with students cheering for the Tiger football team.
