An officer responded to an indecent exposure call on Zach Curlin Avenue The victim told the officer a male exposed himself to her in the south Zach Curlin parking lot near the parking meters adjacent to Zach Curlin Avenue.
Thursday, Nov. 1
12:30 p.m.
An officer responded to a robbery call on Southern Ave. The victim told the officer she was northbound on Echles Avenue and turned into the private drive behind the Memphis Area Teachers’ Credit Union. The victim said she stopped in the drive and looked for something in her pockets when a male wearing a black ski mask, a heavy blue jacket and blue jeans approached her. The male stuck his head inside the victim’s vehicle window, which was rolled down. The suspect then put an unknown object in the victim’s stomach and demanded that she open the cash box in the front seat. The victim told the suspect there was nothing in the box. The suspect demanded she still open the box. After the victim opened the box and the suspect observed there was nothing in it, he told her to “give him something.” The suspect then looked through her jacket pockets and found $20 in cash. The suspect also demanded her diamond ring. After the suspect took the ring, he then fled on foot going southbound through the fence beside the print shop. Estimated loss is $1,120.

2:45 a.m.
An officer saw a 2000 red Buick Regal run a red light at Southern and Highland, almost strike the officer’s vehicle and continue northbound on Highland Ave. The officer followed the car and observed it weaving from side to side. The officer stopped the car at Highland Ave. and Midland Ave. and found the driver unsteady on his feet, with slurred speech, bloodshot and sleepy eyes and a strong odor of intoxicant on his breath. He did poorly on a field sobriety test and was placed under arrest. The suspect was transferred to 201 Poplar.
Monday, Nov. 5
1:18 p.m.
An officer observed a 1976 blue Cadillac Deville traveling northbound on Patterson from Walker. The officer paced the vehicle at 45 mph in a 25 mph zone. The officer pulled the car over, approached the driver and observed an open 12- ounce can of beer between the suspect’s legs. The officer escorted the suspect to the sidewalk and observed what appeared to be a marijuana joint behind the suspect’s right ear. The officer asked the suspect to hand him the joint, but the suspect began ripping the joint. Before the officer could stop the suspect, he threw the ripped-up joint into a front lawn. The officer placed the suspect in handcuffs. The officer looked into the passenger side of the vehicle and saw what appeared to be a grip to a pistol. The officer unlocked the door and recovered the Rossi .357-Magnum loaded with six rounds of ammunition.
The suspect was placed under arrest. The suspect is a convicted felon.
