As I rarely find the time to read such articles in our school newspaper, I was highly curious at the reaction of (Wednesday’s) article from an early morning class.
I was so curious that I had to find a copy of our newspaper and read the article for myself. I was astonished at the article. How can any college who claims to be accredited allow the waste of funding to a child who does not even hold the capacity to use the spell check on his computer before turning in his article?
As a student at The University of Memphis, I am offended by the lack of knowledge that a columnist at our university contains. If a true columnist wrote this article, he would have at least had the respect to use the correct terminology in the article.
The word is period and not as in the end of a sentence, but as in the monthly menstrual cycle that every women goes through.
This self-proclaimed “Mr. Amore” is no more than a college boy who feels the need to find problems with females as an excuse for his lack of relationships with them.
Yes, I will give him that during the time of the month that women have their periods, that they may appear cranky and obnoxious, but no more obnoxious than having to listen to a man explain that women should only do what their man wants.
This is the twenty-first century and no man, or woman, for that matter, should be allowed to slander any other person.
First of all, any man who feels the need to put down a woman just because she might have bitten his head off, needs to sit back and ask himself what he may have said to piss her off.
Did he say, as I image Mr. Matthews would say, that she looked fatter than usual today, or did he say that she looked like crap today, or did he cat-call at her? Which of the previous statements did that man make to deserve having his head bitten off?
