Monday Sept. 24

8:44 p.m.

An officer responded to Richardson Towers North, where a caller said that her vehicle was hit on the driver’s side door. The caller said she had parked her car on Friday, and when she got back to her car Monday morning she noticed that someone had hit her vehicle.

Tuesday, Sept. 25

8:30 a.m.

An officer responded to eleven reports of vehicle vandalism in the parking lot at Norriswood and Patterson. The vandal broke windows to gain entry into the vehicles. Several stereos were stolen and dashboards destroyed. Two of the vehicles didn’t have anything stolen from them. Most of the vehicles damaged were parked against the south fence in the parking lot. One vehicle was parked against the west fence. The other vehicles were parked in the first row north of the south fence.

Tuesday, Sept. 25

8:26 p.m.

An officer responded to an accident call from the Central parking lot. Upon arrival, the officer met with a woman who stated that she was traveling south toward Central Ave. when someone headed east failed to stop as he was making a right turn and struck her car, causing damage to his front bumper on the driver’s side. The man stated that he failed to stop and that he caused the accident. The passenger in the woman’s vehicle stated that she would go to her doctor if she felt any pain from the accident. No other injuries were reported. Photos were taken of both vehicles.

Wednesday, Sept. 26

2:05 p.m.

An officer responded to a vandalism call at the Norriswood west Lot. The caller stated she had parked her vehicle in the lot and after returning the next day she noticed that her vehicle would not start. Upon further inspection, she noticed that the hood release would not work and that the hood had been keyed.

Friday, Sept. 28

3:27 a.m.

An officer responded to an automobile burglary call at the Zach Curlin south lot. Upon arrival, the officer spoke to a student who stated that he had parked his vehicle in the lot, and when he returned 10 hours later, he noticed damage to the trunk lock on his vehicle. The victim told officers that speaker equipment was missing from the trunk of his vehicle. Estimated loss is $698.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

4:18 p.m.

Officers responded to a vandalism call from the 4th floor of the Deloach garage. The victim stated he had parked his car in the garage, and when he returned seven hours later he found that someone had scratched circles and spirals into the paint on the top of the trunk of his car.

Tuesday, Oct. 2

4:29 p.m.

A caller reported to officers that she had money and clothing stolen from her room. She questioned her roommates but no one seemed to know what happened. The victim stated that her door is always locked unless she is at home. The victim also told officers that she had a disagreement with one of her roommates about a guest that the victim didn’t like visiting. There were no signs of forced entry to the victim’s room. The victim stated that she will be moving back home and commuting until an apartment becomes available on campus. Estimated loss is $1,040.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

10:00 a.m.

An officer was dispatched to Physical Plant and Planning in response to a harassment complaint. The victim told the officer that an unknown person had left a brown envelope containing a letter on her vehicle, which was parked at Watauga at Patterson. The letter contained very explicit language and made reference to burning down a house. The victim stated that she did not know who left the note.
