With great enthusiasm, we will be waiting for the SGA elections. We need responsible, honest and committed people to work for the students' interests, not for the candidate's interest.
One of the candidates, Drew Pritt, whom you featured Wednesday in the Daily Helmsman, is very qualified to become a typical politician working for his own agenda.
The things mentioned about him are nice, but it does not change the fact that he lied in front of a forum of students, guest speakers and professors when he claimed that he worked for the Daily Helmsman, while in fact he was not at that time.
Mr. Pritt even started a barrage of name-calling against the speakers. Such immoral behavior is so grave that I believe he can't be worthy of our trust or respect.
Mr. Pritt is new to The University of Memphis and he lacks the skills needed to deal with respected speakers and intellectuals who visit our school.
