Senior Tiffany Adkins is a powerful force on the Lady Tiger basketball team.
Adkins was recently named as one of the players on the All-Conference basketball team, Conference USA's highest honor.
Adkins is a multiple recipient of this honor.
Members of the media, the league's head coaches and sports information directors choose the members of the team from the entire Conference's pool of hundreds of female athletes.
A transfer from Ole Miss, Adkins' presence has made a huge impact on the team. During the 00-01 season, Adkins started in 39 of 43 games in which she has played.
It is not uncommon for Adkins to score 20 or more points during a game and has scored as high as 37 points in the Mississippi State game played in November of last year.
She was named player of the week by C-USA in November of 2000.
Adkins has also led her team in scoring and rebounding with stats of 18.2 points averaged per game and eight rebounds. Adkins pulled down an impressive 13 rebounds against South Florida.
During the 99-00 season, Adkins led the team in scoring with 15.1 points per game.
Her eligibility was not gained until nine games into the season, but her first showing led to a victory against Arkansas with eight points and nine rebounds. Adkins then had a career high of 36 points against Arkansas State. Her averages were 17.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals in the last ten games.
Her season averages were 54 assists, 10 blocked shots and 49 steals. Adkins was named the Lady Tiger's Most Outstanding Player as well as Best Offensive Player.
Adkins had a very impressive career with Ole Miss before tranferring to The University of Memphis, also garnering awards and recognition in the SEC.
At Gibson County High School, Adkins was a stand out, holding the school's all- time record for scoring, with a total of 2, 342 points. Adkins was the leading scorer in West Tennessee with an average of 24 points and was one of two players from the state of Tennessee to be named a Parade Magazine All-American player in 1996.
Adkins is expected to compete for Conference Player of the Year honors during the C-USA's upcoming tournaments.
