I feel compelled to speak in defense of Ms. Kara Woods, whose cartoons have come under fire apparently for depicting real social commentary.
Yes, Mr. McClure, we could all read Peanuts and see pictures of the Napster logo with a blindfold on in front of a firing squad (no, nevermind, that would be gun-related again), but I'd rather see a political cartoon that maybe SAYS something timely about current events.
The fact that Wednesday's school shooting didn't even make a headline on CNN.com offended me.
Maybe I should write to them and offer a constructive criticism of today's affairs like, "Hey CNN, fire your webmaster, I'm offended."
But that would just be silly, right?
