Officers responded to a call from Nellie Angel Smith Hall regarding a strong smell of marijuana coming from a resident's room.
Once on the scene, officers knocked on the door, and a female student unlocked the door. With the door still closed, the officers announced their presence and the student apparently relocked the door.
At this point, the officers unlocked the door themselves, but met resistance as someone attempted to keep the door closed.
To preserve possible evidence, the officers pushed through. Upon entering the room, officers observed a female behind the door and a male student in the bed, both undressed.
While investigating the scene, officers found what appeared to be the remains of a marijuana cigarette. The evidence was confiscated and the male subject was issued a verbal trespass warning and escorted off campus.
