The season is coming to a close and The University of Memphis women's basketball team is looking for a much needed Conference-USA win to end out the season.
They face the South Florida Bulls Sunday at 3 p.m.
It's an important night because it is the last game of the regular season, but this game will also be the end of an era for some very important people.
Joye Lee-McNelis and the rest of the Lady Tigers will recognize some people they'll miss very dearly - their seniors.
Patrice Boyd, Kelly Herron, Tiffany Collins and Tiffany Adkins will play their last regular season game as Lady Tigers and will certainly leave a void when they depart.
Boyd arrived from the University of Kentucky in 1999 and has had an impact on the team ever since.
She received the unsung hero award for her dedication and hard work and this season and it has shown in her statistics.
She was recently named C-USA player of the week, by being the leader in road wins over Tulane and Southern Miss.
She scored a career high 20-points at Southern Miss and pulled down six rebounds in the victory.
Boyd recorded her second career double-double at Tulane with 14 points and 11 rebounds, seven of which she received on the offensive end.
For the week in which she was named she totaled 34 points, 17 rebounds three assists and three steals while shooting 52 percent from the field.
Boyd has really been a dominant party on the team and was recently nominated for the sixth man of the year award.
She is third on the team in rebounding and fourth in scoring averaging 5.5 rebounds and 7.0 points per game.
Boyd is also third in three point shots with 11 and third in steals with 37.
In all of Kelly Herron's years as a Lady Tiger she has been a big outside threat.
In the 1999-2000 season she was second on the team hitting 24 treys as a junior.
She started 13 out of 30 games averaging 15 minutes per contest.
Herron is an intricate part of the Lady Tigers team.
Collins has come up big this season filling in where former Lady Tiger Yolanda Reed left off.
Collins scored 13 points in the game against Southern Miss and also had six assists to help the Lady Tigers defeat the Eagles 73-58.
She also scored 10 points against the Tulane Green Wave.
Adkins made an immediate impact on the squad upon gaining her eligibility nine games into her junior season.
This season Adkins was nominated as an All-American candidate.
She scored a career-high 37 points versus Mississippi State and started 39 of the 43 games she has played in.
She leads the team in scoring and rebounding and is one of two players to score 20 or more points in a game.
Adkins has scored in double digits in 20 of the 22 games and has scored more than 20 points in seven of the last 11 games.
Adkins has been honored with a host of awards this season.
She was named the 2000 Lady Tiger Classic most valuable player and C-USA player of the week on Nov 27.
She also totals eight career double-doubles.
The senior Lady Tigers get one more night to shine before their senior game when they host Houston tonight at 7 p.m.
