Last season it was easy to find a seat in the student section at The Pyramid. But since John Calipari rolled into town things have certainly changed.
When teams come to town they better beware because the Tigers hold nothing back.
It's safe to say students are enthusiastic about supporting Tiger basketball and they have every right to be.
Luncheons in The Marketplace, freebies, free parking and if you don't have a car, free bus rides to every home game.
If that is not enough to make you want to support Tiger basketball then maybe having a coach that cares is.
It's obvious the reason Tiger basketball is becoming so successful is because the University of Memphis has a basketball coach that cares about the student body.
In the three big games that the Tigers have played on Nationally televised ESPN against Temple, St. Louis and Marquette, the fan support has been tremendous.
Fans have shown up hours before the game, sporting paint, signs and plenty of support for the Tiger team.
Everyone, young and old, have gotten in on the excitement.
Tonight, the Tigers will face the five-time Conference USA champion Cincinnati Bearcats, and I am sure that students, faculty and fans everywhere will come cheer for the Tigers as they get prepared to bury Cincinnati on the banks of the Mississippi.
