Monday, Dec. 11

11:01 p.m.

An officer on patrol was waved down by a female student, who advised the officer that two people had just tried to rob her. She said as she was exiting her vehicle, one suspect grabbed her and demanded her purse. The victim advised the suspect that she did not have a purse or money. The suspect then slapped her and fled southbound on Brister on a bicycle. The victim said that she did not get a look at the second suspect, but advised officers that he also fled the scene on a bicycle. The officer said that he had seen the two suspects moments before the incident occurred. The victim was not injured and refused medical treatment.

Tuesday, Dec. 12

9:15 a.m.

Officers responded to an attempted strong-arm robbery on University Street, in which a female student reported that while she was in a restroom, a suspect entered and demanded money from her. The student informed the suspect that she did not have any money, at which time the suspect attempted to search the student's pockets while keeping one hand in his jacket pocket, allegedly implying a weapon. The student informed the suspect that her sister would be coming in and began to scream. The suspect then fled the area, traveling in an unknown direction. Nothing was taken and MPD was notified.

Monday, Jan. 15

7:26 p.m.

Officers responded to a call regarding a man exposing himself to female students. A female student reported that a man driving a maroon Nissan Altima or Mazda 626 pulled up beside her on Echles and exposed himself. The student said the man had on a red jersey and a black knit hood which covered his head. The student did not get an automobile tag number, but did notice the vehicle had a damaged front bumper with a yellow paint mark on the damaged bumper. Officers checked the area but found no suspects.

Tuesday, Jan. 16

8:40 p.m.

Officers responded to Richardson Towers North in regards to a possible harassment call.

Upon arrival, a female student told officers that an unknown female had repeatedly called her room throughout the night, alleging her boyfriend had been cheating on her. The complainant informed police similar incidents had occurred since May. The student was informed that this was not harassment, but was advised on procedure to follow in changing her number or tracing the call.
