First of all, Noah Gray, who wrote to you (printed Friday, Jan. 26), needs to know a couple of simple facts.
Catholics are not only also Christians; we are the remnants of the original Christian Church that Martin Luther and all the other Protestants split from hundreds of years ago. Mormons are also Christians. The basis of their faith may be a little far removed from that of other Christians, but they are still believers in Jesus Christ.
Secondly, wait a while and see how this concept of viewpoints about faith is going to work out. The article by Blake Walker in the Friday Helmsman was very interesting. We have been settling for garbage like that put out by Matt Presson for way too long. He frequently admitted that he didn't have anything to say on a particular day and was just filling the space with whatever came out, most of it offensive to someone.
Let's learn more about all kinds of different faiths. It doesn't have to be a taboo subject just because it isn't the church you attend.
