Memphis (13-20, 3-13) finished its season with a 3-1 loss to Tulane in the first round of the Conference USA tournament, but one Tiger will move on with an impressive career.
Tiger volleyball player April Harriman has been named to the Verizon Academic All-America District IV Volleyball team by Co-SIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).
Harriman, a double major in political science and communications, finished her Tiger volleyball career with 494 kills this season, the fifth-highest single season total in school history. She finished her career with with 1,017 career kills after surpassing the 1,000-kill career mark in her final home match in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.
Harriman led the Tigers with 4.08 kills per game in her senior campaign. She was also second on the defense with 379 digs (3.13/game).
