Free meal for finals from Tiger Den

Students who will be up late Sunday night preparing for Monday's finals are invited to attend a free pancake supper at the Tiger Den from 9 p.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday night.

Chuck Wigington, director of Food Services, said the Tiger Den will open Sunday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m., and stay open until Thursday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m.

"A complimentary pancake 'breakfast' with a campus celebrity chef will be held Sunday night from 9 p.m. until 10 p.m.," Wigington said. "The event is to kick-off the 24-hour study session. It is being sponsored by Residence Life."

The theme of the study session is "Eat around the clock at the Tiger Den during Finals Week."

Wigington said the grill will be open and a limited menu will be available, including coffee and Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

"Pastries, including muffins and other items from our bake shop, will be available for students," Wigington said.

Graduate business major Corey Jamison said he is looking forward to finding out who the celebrity chef will be.

"I can't wait to see who it is," Jamison said. "I love pancakes and I will be up studying both Sunday and Monday nights."

Wigington said breakfast items available for students will include eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes.

"The lunch and dinner items will include hamburgers and cheeseburgers," Wigington said. "Chickenburgers will also be offered, along with fries."

Junior management information systems major Loretta Lane said the study session is a great help for exams on Monday.

"I think it is great," Lane said. "I plan on coming early Monday morning, because I have a exam at 8 a.m. This will allow me to get a few more hours of study in before the deadly exams."

Wigington said the round-the-clock study session will run through Thursday.

"The 24-hour study session is to benefit the students in two ways," Wigington said. " One, it is to provide a place for them to go and study, and two, it is to provide hot food for them to eat. All students are welcome to hang out here and study."
